Founded in 1950 and specializing in the manufacturing of complex special cold drawn profiles, the Italian Calvi SpA is today recognized at an international level as a highly qualified company in the forming of any type of steel (common, carbon, case hardening, alloy and stainless steels). Calvi SpA strong points are the focus on the specific requirements of its customers and its technical skills in engineering, which translate into an optimized manufacturing process in terms of quality (based on the absolute reliability of its processing plants) and costs containment. After hot rolling operations, drawing is the key step in Calvi profiles’ manufacturing. During this phase, shapes are created as requested by using sophisticated internal simulations systems and high precision machinery. This operation is carried out once the surface has been adequately prepared. The drawing provides the product with a final section that is characterised by precision in the dimensions required by the customer.
